CEV Beach Volleyball Satellite Lausanne – 2014

The 25th edition of the CEV Beach Volleyball Satellite Lausanne (2014), allowed many spectators to attend high level games on the Place de la Navigation.

Opposed the quarterfinals, seeded No. 1 in the tournament Sheba Chevallier and teammate Alexei Strasser Turkish-pair Sekerci Giginoglu (Selçuk Sekerci and Murat Giginoglu). Victory of the Swiss pair Chevallier-Strasser in 4 sets: 3-1 (15-13, 15-5, 20-22, 15-12).

The second match of the day played between two German teams, Fuchs-Kaczmarek (seeded No. 2 in the tournament, Sebastian Fuchs and Thomas Kaczmarek, who won the tournament in 2011 with Alexander Walkenhorst) and Holler-Schröder (Tim Holler and Jonas Schröder).
Victory in 5 sets for the pair Holler-Schröder: 3-2 (15-9, 16-18, 13-15, 15-12, 8-6).

The Polish team, world champions under 23, Kosiak-Rudol (Maciej Kosiak and Maciej Rudol) won the match against the Austrians
Eglseer-Koraimann (Peter Eglseer and Felix Koraimann) in 5 sets 3-2 (17-19, 18-16,19-21,15-12, 7-5).

Germans Bergmann-Dittelbach (Philipp Arne Bergmann and Finn Dittelbach) lost facing the Italians Cecchini-Martino (Matteo Cecchini and Matteo Martino), also in 5 sets 3-2 (15-10, 13-15, 16-14 11-15, 8-6).

The 3/4 finals, for the third place, were won by the Swiss team Chevallier-Strasser, against the Italians Cecchini-Martino, who were less in shape. Victory in 3 sets for the Swiss duo: 3-0 (15-6, 15-11, 15-9).

But great victory for the Polish team Kosiak-Rudol, facing the Germans Holler-Schröder, in 4 sets: 3-1 (11-15, 15-13, 15-13, 15-8).
